Welcome! My name is Bob Packman and I had the honor and pleasure to
serve as the Unit Commissioner here for over 10 years and hundreds of scouts.
White Lake hosts four chartered BSA units. These include 2 Cub Scout Packs (girls & boys ages 7-11), a Scout Troop (boys & girls ages 11-18), and a Venturing Crew (co-eds ages 14-21). We encompass approximately a 10 mile radius from White Lake reaching Montague, Whitehall, and Twin Lake, Michigan.
The goal of Scouting is the same as what you have for your kids, to develop in youth: citizenship, a service mentality, and leadership skills. An outdoor camping program (developed over a period of more than 100 years by the Boy Scouts of America) is what we use as the core curriculum. Some 20 adults hold offices and another 15 (or more) work in concert to make the program effective for each child.
We are very proud to have a year-round, active program serving over 150 White Lake area youth! Please browse our website and enjoy some photos of our past adventures.
Thanks for stopping by and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
All the Best to You & Your Family,
Bob Pachman
